What's Black & White and gold all over?

Blue's News is reporting that Lionhead Studios' Black & White has been handed off to Electronic Arts for its final round of QA. While this doesn't mean it's officially gold, it does mean we could be seeing it in mere weeks.

And the nominees are...

The International Game Developers Association announced their year 2000 award nominees. Among their categories are Original Game Character of the Year (Tamale Loco?) and Excellence in Level Design (American McGee's Alice?).

This year, the IGDA will be handing out a new award called the Penguin Award which "recognizes the courage and bravery of a developer who tested the proverbial 'waters', uncertain of success or failure." We vote for Flying Heroes.

So Doom 3 looks like a rendered cutscene from one of the Resident Evil games? We can hardly contain our excitement.
