TRIBES 2
Tom's Review: To adequately explain TRIBES 2, you
need two reviews: one for people without GeForce cards, berating
Dynamix for making a game that runs so poorly it's nearly unplayable;
and another for people with GeForce cards, holding up TRIBES 2 as
team-based online combat at its level best. We already wrote the
former. Now you're reading the
latter. Once I put GeForce cards in my machines, TRIBES 2 finally
became a viable entity. I used to have dreams about jumping really
high and soaring over rooftops, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon-style.
Now I just lightly tap my middle finger on the right mouse button
and let my jetpack carry me over lush textured terrain, fantastical
weapon effects, and some of the best multiplayer gaming since id
invented the concept.
Publisher: Sierra
Developer: Dynamix
Genre: Team-based multiplayer first person shooter
Requirements: If you don't have a GeForce card, don't even think
about it
