Fallout Tactics: Brotherhood of Steel

Mark's Review: If you've got a yen for what Fallout Tactics offers — small-group tactics — it's an entertaining game. You'd better have that yen, though, because otherwise it's a frustrating mix of cool elements and irritating problems. The game plays fine in real-time or turn-based modes (it's tilted towards real-time), but the AI is dreadful, too many missions are corridor crawls (even though outdoors, they're designed so the player is herded through points A, B, C, and D), and the multiplayer is woefully unbalanced. Did I enjoy it? Yes. Was I happy with it? No. It's disappointing to see a game that does a lot of things right do so many important things wrong.

Tom's Review: If there's one thing that kills a small tactics game, it's lousy AI and maze/puzzle missions. Okay, that's two things. So sue me. Fallout Tactics is more Commandos than tactics.
