Fist-bumps for Final Fantasy and Assassin’s Creed working together

, | News

You want to play the next Assassin’s Creed game, but you’re still busy cruising around the countryside with your anime boy band bros in Final Fantasy XV. What can you do? Beginning August 31st, Assassin’s Creed will slide into Final Fantasy XV’s world with the free Assassin’s Festival DLC. It’s a chance to pick up some snazzy new hoodies for you and your buds, and share some Abstergo-approved Cup Noodles.

The town of Lestallum will transform itself for the event with signs and banners signaling the arrival of the festival, and new activities will be available for players to participate in.

As a bonus, if you’ve gotten a Dream Egg from the Moogle Chocobo Carnival, you can get an assassin outfit for Noctis one day early!

The best part of Final Fantasy XV is getting an upgrade

Is there anything better in Final Fantasy XV than Prompto’s delightful pictures? They capture the buddy road trip goofiness of a bunch of dudes hanging out, having adventures, high-fiving each other, and generally being a gaggle of lovable lunkheads. There’s an update for Final Fantasy XV coming on December 22nd that adds a free Holiday Pack DLC which includes a New Game Plus feature and themed photo frames for Prompto’s shutterbug hobby. It’s exactly what this bro-tastic posse of tourists needs. There’s also a couple of in-game goodies like a ticket that will transport the player’s party to a time-limited Moogle Chocobo Carnival in January. Owners of the season pass will have access to a premium version of the Holiday Pack that adds more special loot like a Ring of Resistance and a Stamina Badge.

It’s a dog’s life in Final Fantasy XV

That’s “Omen” a short film made by Digic Pictures and Square Enix to promote Final Fantasy XV. Noctis, the magic-imbued protagonist, trips through a dream while accompanied by his faithful dog. Or something. Look, there’s a cool-looking car and some explosions. It seems like a Final Fantasy scene if the bad haircuts and melodramatic music are any indication.

The development team confirmed that six DLC packs are planned for the game, including one that will offer online cooperative multiplayer. Each DLC episode after the cooperative Comrades pack will focus on one member of the player’s party. A $25 season pass will be available, but players can buy each DLC separately.

Final Fantasy XV will launch on November 29th on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
