Bruce's Therapy columns are always interesting. What I like is that he does more than just a rehash of Usenet chatter -- he actually does some game analysis. I thought this was particulary inciteful:

"Starfleet Command 2 is one of those games that needs an extended play mode because its gameplay is based on something (tactical starship combat) that lasts, at most, thirty minutes. As I said above, I love the tactical combat in the SFC series. It's one of the most engaging game engines I've ever played with. The problem is that if you just play in skirmish mode, the battles are completely unconnected and there's no sense of "accomplishment." It's like playing Galaga with no high score to beat. When the game is over, it's just over. Who wants that?"

His Therapy's here.

"Depressive: Quartertothree.com spams your mother"

Huh? Tom, Mark? Say it ain't so! (Unless it is just my mom, in which case go on ahead. I doubt she cares.)

Heh -- we had a brief discussion on Usenet about what was and wasn't appropriate. Then someone posted a message about our site being down and some irate person responded with a "More spam!" denunciation.
