"The Washington Post has a story about how players have saved a computer game from extinction. Sanctum, an excellent cross between a collectible card game like Magic: the Gathering and a turn-based strategy game, was about to be discontinued when the parent company, Digital Addiction, was going out of business."

Just wanted to add that if anyone ever wants to check the game out, you can download a free starter set from:

http://www.digitaladdiction.com/

I'd be happy to play anyone.

The deckbuilding is similar to Magic, but the gameplay uses a board you play on with small armies you move about and fight with. Like Magic, your deck is "shuffled" before each game so the cards come up in a random order. You cast spells on your troops, enemy troops, towns, or the terrain.
