Affleck as Daredevil

I like Ben Affleck. He is a good actor and I have enjoyed several of his films. Can I picture Ben Affleck as The Man Without Fear? I don't think so.

I couldn't come up with any good substitutes right quick. Any thoughts who might be better? You know the studio would fire him in a heartbeat if we come up with a more suitable actor:-)

I too like Ben Affleck in the films in which he is the one acting. He is very good, when he is the clone of himself, but is also the friend of our hero, who also turns out to be the clone!! The helicopters were very good in that movie too. Swift and cunning.

Greetz..

I only like Ben Afleck in the slacker Kevin Smith type roles... beyond those roles he is just sorta weak. Hes a comedic actor with timing and handles dialogue good imo. Hes a funny handsome man! But I dont think he can do drama or hero types well, he just has too much of a smirk. maybe im wrong. Nobody thought Michael Keaton could do drama or Batman....

BTW, Johan what movie are you talking about with helicopters? i dont remember a copter movie with Affleck!

etc

Conan O'Brien! Or maybe that red haired guy who threw away NYPD Blue for a non-career in pictures. Matt Murdock is Irish, after all.

It's easy for Afleck to be the man without fear. Generally, he seems to be the actor what never emotes, so lacking fear should be much different from lacking humor, lacking earnestness, etc.

Why Kevin Smith keeps using him, I dunno...

Johan rules! A humble bow and 'greetz' to you, Johan.

Swift and cunning indeed...

I don't know if Ray park has the acting chops,
but he certainly could pull off the martial arts...

Ray Park is supposed to be playing Iron Fist. But what is Iron Fist without Power Man? We certainly can't have Nick Cage play his namesake either, if they do indeed cast a Power Man to go alongside Park's Iron Fist.

Three words:

Michael Clarke Duncan

How about:

Rae Dawn Chong

Or maybe:

Jan Micheal Vincent

Ah, crap, I thought we were just listing people with three names. JMV is still a hero of mine from his Airwolf days, but damn, the guy has the worst imaginable life now. He's a hard-core alcoholic, in the vein of Andy Gibb. At times literally in the gutter. It's profoundly sad.

Hey, I have three names!!!

Murph,

Unless you are a 6'5" black guy who is built like a small tank, I don't think you would be a good Power Man.

Jeff,

Rae Dawn Chong..Unless she has gone "WWF Chyna" lately, she wouldn't be a good Power Man either.

Jan Michael Vincent..A tale of squandered potential.

Wasn't Power Man's name Luke Cage?

Confirmed with marvel.com, it is Luke. Mixing up Nick Fury and Luke Cage maybe?

Power Man was indeed Luke Cage, which is who Nick Cage took his last name from. Otherwise, he'd be Nick Coppola.

He's enough of a comic book dork to not only take up Power Man's last name, but to try to land a role in every freakin' comic book movie project ever. From Batman to Superman to Ghost Rider; if a comic were to become a movie, he probably auditioned for it at some point.

Speaking of which, I'd love a Nick Fury flick about now. A big action-packed spy flick filled with insane gadgets from both SHIELD and AIM/Hydra.

Or maybe just a lot of scenes involving a cool CGI SHIELD Helicarrier.

Wow! Didn't know that about Mr. Nick Cage. Saw this on www.imdb.com about him:

Collects comic books and sees them as being today's equivalent of mythology.
