I understand that, but the reaction of some people to BE is almost irrational, like it's somehow the paragon of bad movie making. It wasn't any worse than, say, Armageddon...

I haven't seen Battlefield Earth, but it even looked bad in trailers. And, I keep telling you guys, Armageddon was not that bad!

Sad thing was that my expectations for Battlefield Earth were so low when I went to see it that I didn't find it that bad...
Granted, I also didn't think the opening sequence of Saving Private Ryan was that gory due to my imagination running wild...
