Has anyone else out there read this amazing series by David Farland? Book 3 is due to be released shortly (The Wizardborn) and if it gets any better than Brotherhood of the Wolf, I'll be in heaven.
I find this series is especially interesting as it almost feels like a videogame/role-playing game, but without being cheesy... the whole attribute lending system is an amazing magic system and really lends strategy to the battle scenes.
And the Reapers... ya gotta love the Reapers :)
If you haven't read this series yet, don't let it pass you by. It's one of the few that rival Tad Williams' Memory, Sorry and Thorn trilogy and the ongoing George R.R. Martin series for my bookshelf space... I mean, I have 3 copies of Runelords (2 paperbacks to lend out, 1 hardcover for my collection)

I just figured I'd also mention that Farland was one of the storywriters of Starcraft:Brood War (you know, that little Blizzard RTS that most of you probably overlooked :)

This sounds good too. Runelords would be a good name for a game, also.

Farland's no great master of prose, but his storytelling is very good. The whole linking system is fascinating, so much though that you get a headache trying to figure out the implications.
"he's linked to her, who's linked to him, who's linked to three others..."
Brain...hurting...
