The sad thing is, the game seems pretty good, aside from the bugs. It just plays like a beta. An EARLY beta.

I'm trying to review the game for Games Domain and I'm having a lot of problems just getting it to run. Lockups galore. Graphical glitches. Camera glitches. Unit glitches. It's really unplayable for me at the moment. Looks pretty cool in those few moments when everything goes right, but damn, I've played real betas that were in better shape.

Same here. My review is due next week and I'm having all kinds of issues. I can't even get it to work in 1024 res. It just bleeds. (Using a GeForce 1) And for some reason the cut scenes are so dark that I can barely see anything. On the box it says Win 95/98/Me/2000 but on the sys req. it doesn't list Win95 as an option. Suffice to say it doesn't run under 95. ;)
As far as gameplay, the collision detection is AWOL. It's just not there. Trees, walls, and so on stop arrows about as well as I stop my daughter from throwing food at the dogs.

It looks like this one was really rushed to market.

Wasn't the dev cycle something incredibly short? Less than a year, maybe?

Yeah, it was around eleven months if I remember right.

I haven't run into too many bugs, save the cutscene one, but then again I haven't logged onto Gamespy and tested multiplayer-- one of Myth I and II's strongest features. Multiplayer also seems to be the part of M3 everyone is complaining about. On the down side, Gamespy is no bungie.net...
