Man, we're beseiged. One went down two days ago and is just back to normal as of a few hours ago. Two more kids have come down with it this evening, including one just 15 minutes ago. That leaves two parents and one boy who have yet to get it.

It's a nasty strain, too. Lots of stuff going the wrong way.

I'm particulary worried about the one boy who hasn't gotten it yet. He's diabetic, and diabetics have problems when they can't keep food down. They often have to go to the hospital to get an IV to keep their blood sugar levels balanced. I hope that doesn't happen to him.

Well, I guess I'm up all night on bucket brigade.

I feel your pain.

Okay, I'm lying, I don't have kids. But I know how to make them, and I am married. So consider me armed and dangerous.

Some interesting stuff there, actually.

Ugh... you have my sympathy Mark. My 2 sons, wife and I all had a rotten illness back in December that claimed an entire week of our lives. That's the thing about kids, when one gets sick, everyone gets it.

Hope you make it through unscathed!

Yeesh, it was bad enough when a simple cold got passed around my family, I don't even want to think about a stomach flu. Make sure everyone washes their hands a lot, I guess. Good luck.

I feel for ya, Mark. I had that 24 hour flu last week when I was in Mexico. My baby boy had it too. It was rough on us...like you said: fluids from every orifice :P

The good news is that after the first 12-24 hours, it eases up considerably.

Heh -- it's very quite around the Asher household today. Everyone's in his or her own little world.

Looks like my oldest was able to avoid the hospital. We called the doctor and he gave him an anti-nausea drug, so he's been ok so far. His blood sugar's low right now though.

The rest are just laying around like they just survived getting shelled on Porkchop Hill or something -- kind of glassy-eyed.

Hey, at least they got to miss school! Remember how bad it sucked when you were a kid and you got sick on the weekend? What a waste of an illness! :)

Ah yes, nothing worse than getting sick on a Saturday and feeling better by Sunday night. A kid's first introduction to the many injustices that exist in the world.
