Yet ANOTHER movie that's better than the vastly overrated Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.

WARNING: comparable to a late night Cinemax movie! It's also .. really funny. Check it out.

where's tom ohle when we need him??!?!?!!?
By Michael Murphy (Murph) on Wednesday, August 22, 2001 - 12:16 am:
No kidding!! I haven't heard from Ohle in awhile...And he hasn't been around here...
His site's been down for a couple of weeks -- host problems -- and he seems to have vanished...
By Alan Au (Itsatrap) on Wednesday, August 22, 2001 - 01:19 pm:
Yeah anyway, anybody know what happened to him?
- Alan
By Jeff Atwood (Wumpus) on Wednesday, August 22, 2001 - 10:43 pm:
Perhaps he's a porn star?
By Tom Ohle on Monday, August 27, 2001 - 03:12 pm:
Bleh? Perhaps I am!
I just haven't been online in a while. My booze expenditures have gone through the roof (I spend a good 80 bucks at the bar a week.... probably more).... it's really kind of sick. I'm trying to get back into game-related work, but Sones hasn't responded to my emails in about three months, and my site's gone to hell because of shoddy hosting.

Ah public ridicule, surely the way to an editor's heart.

... what? It's kinda sad if you consider that ridicule heh.
By Anonymous on Tuesday, August 28, 2001 - 12:50 am:
Maybe not ridicule, but pretty damn unprofessional.
By Michael Murphy (Murph) on Tuesday, August 28, 2001 - 01:11 am:
Oh, give the guy a break! He was just explaining his situation. I don't think he intended it as a personal attack to anyone!!
Besides, if there's one thing that can be said about Ohle, it's that he's unprofessional! :-)

Now that's funny. :)
Still, it's generally not a good tactic to air gripes or anything that can be construed as a gripe in public.

I would like to formally apologize to Ben Sones if he saw my statement as either ridicule or as an airing of gripes. It was just a passing statement I made describing a situation. It doesn't really matter to me at all--if I had absolutely no way to make money, I'd probably be a bit miffed, but that's simply not the case. If it makes everyone happy, I'll change my statement to "no one has returned my emails for about three weeks." Now let's all just get along.
By Alan Au (Itsatrap) on Tuesday, August 28, 2001 - 02:40 pm:
That's okay, Tom. You haven't returned my email in about 3 weeks either. (heh) ;)
- Alan
By Tom Ohle on Tuesday, August 28, 2001 - 02:46 pm:
Sorry dude ;) I just moved and didn't set up my computer for about three weeks. When I checked my email, I almost pissed my pants when it said "downloading message 1 of 347." Basically I just looked at them all and thought, "neh, I don't want to read any of these."
By Michael Murphy (Murph) on Tuesday, August 28, 2001 - 09:11 pm:
Yeah, I almost brought that up, too. It took me the better part of a month to get a response. Heh. I found that statement very ironic, too.
But, that's water under the bridge.

Yeah, and he's probably drunk, too.
Also: 347 e-mails is really not that many.

Oh I know it's not. But I didn't feel like reading them anyway.
