I have downloaded a number of weapons packs for SWAT3:EE, copy the ZIP file into the MODS directory, and run the MODS.EXE program to activate them.

But I can still only select the original weapons. Do any of these MODS work in single player ? I was hoping to activate the TD_WEAPON_PACK.

Cheers,
Sean.

I seem to recall weapons mods don't work in the original (and Elite) single player mission campaign cause they weren't coded for you to use weapons other than the default stuff. If you could run through the single player game using the new grenade launcher and an M-60 machine gun there wouldn't be much point anymore. :)

I think you can setup a multiplayer game on any single player map and just play it solo (you'll be able to control the AI guys like usual if you're not joined by anybody) and then the weapons'll be available.

I love the game but haven't played in a while. You might fish around 10-David and T.O.C. Code 4 for more info, or ask at the official SWAT 3 forums, but I saw ya already did the latter. :)

I'm hoping there'll be more info on the 2.0 version of Elite Edition at E3. I don't think they'll be yakking about the next game in the series yet though.

I love SWAT3:EE. One of the guys recommended it here on QT3 and I haven't been able to stop playing it since. Almost all the maps are excellent. I have found the most difficult map to be the TV station - those cubicles and partitions are deadly !

When I did multi, those cramped maps were murder cause your coop partners would constantly fire into your back whether intentionally or not. :)

There's a simple .ini file entry that can turn off friendly fire (only in multiplayer), one of the fan sites discovered. I meant to try that sometime.

I think for the most part they're focusing on making it as mod-friendly as possible now, and now you're seeing some over-the-top weapons mods and the like.
