Is that phrase lifted from somewhere? I'm not as much in touch with popular culture as I should be. As I tell my kids when they listen to rap, "That's not singing, that's shouting!" It's even better if I can say that in front of their friends!

Heh -- no, it's a dad's joy to embarrass his kids. My dad did it to me, my wife's dad did it to her, and I've seen other dad's do it. It's just...fun, and I don't even know why.

The All Your Base seems to have expanded from the SA and HardOCP confines. It took several months to reach critical mass, but now it's spreading. Apparently in Australia someone really hung a banner on a highway overpass with the phrase.
