Well, it looks like it's time to mourn the passing on of Shoot Club...We shall remember it fondly, and look forward to reincarnations of any kind that may sporadically emerge in the future...We shall always look back on the last night of Shoot Club, and remember trevor with his frag finger set to five.

Tom, you have inspired us all. I predict small tributes to Shoot Club will spring up all over the world. Many houses will now have people gathering for the specific purpose of LAN combat. It won't always involve four computers, it won't always be on Thursday nights, it will almost never be for business purposes, but there will always, ALWAYS be memories of Shoot Club in the heads of those who gather...

And now, a moment of silence. In remembrance of Shoot Club.

I hope Tom at least posts links to his other columns here. Like his RetroView column on IGN, I never knew that existed! But I loved reading 'em once I knew about 'em. I don't exactly frequent IGN if you know what I mean.

This site is, after all, a Mark and Tom fansite.. if we can't get original content, at least we can live vicariously through links to your "other" work.

I blame "The Man".

I hold much reverence for Shoot Club. I had 3 other guys over for a Dreamcast gamefest last week. It was even on Thursday. I didn't realize it was a Pennsylvania branch of Shoot Club until today. We even played Virtua Tennis 4-player. Though Samba de Amigo with two sets of maracas was the highlight of the night.

You guys are too kind. I'm actually looking around to see if any other sites might be interested in Shoot Club. In some form or another, I think it will continue to exist. In the meantime, you might keep an eye out for Daily Radar's Sundance coverage, which Trevor helped me with. Think of it as a Shoot Club analogue to the episodes where the Brady Bunch goes to Hawaii.

Tom -
Will you try to post a link to DailyRadar's Sundance coverage? I don't watch many sites closely, but I do this one. I'd be more likely to find it.

Tom & Mark.

Please consider posting links to all external writing that you do here on Q23.com

Otherwise we may not see it! And that's a damn shame.

This is just like college again. Find a great teacher, and sign up for all his classes. Doesn't matter what he's teaching, because you know it'll be 10 times better than any other class you could take on another topic!

I concur. It's always cool to go to read an article and notice that it was written by one of you guys, but it would be so much cooler if I could just link to all/most of the stuff you've written right here.

Tom -
Excellent article -- as usualy -- on the film festival. Looking forward to part 2. (Why is it that as soon as Trevor's name appears in an article, the entertainment value increases sharply?)

Hey, Tom, what are the chances of you doing a short tribute to Shoot Club in the near future, for old times' sake? I realize that without the funding it can't really be a regular column like it was before, but you mentioned that there might be some chance that we'd see the occasional article...Just curious.

Unfortunately, things are a bit too busy now with other assignments. There have, however, been some other pubs interested in Shoot Club, so it looks like it'll just be a matter of time before it resurfaces. In the meantime, I may pull something together to post here. Lord knows, I have plenty of material...

Tom -
Understood. I know you guys keep busy. I just know that a lot of us miss it, and anything is better than the emptiness we feel...Okay, really, it's not quite that bad, but it's such a good read that it would be great if we could get a quick fix!

I'm glad to know that some companies are interested in Shoot Club...Make sure and let us know here!!
