Actually, I wanna know how Sierra managed to phenagle (that's a word, right?) their way into getting an agreement from Tolkein Enterprises to make LOTR games. I thought their botched handling of the last LOTR license they has was the stuff of infamous legend.

I have no inside information, but money's the universal unguent. Did I spell that word right? I'm not even sure what it means.

Sierra and Tolkien Enterprises did have a contract. Sierra may have been in breach, but Tolkien Enterprises, perhaps with some money tossed into the pot, may have decided it made more sense to work with them than fight them in the courts.
